What's on at the Château de Preisch

We would like to EXPRESS OUR WARMEST THANKS to all the visitors who came to discover the estate this season. We will be closing the large white gate, the doors and shutters of the château for a few months and look forward to seeing you again when the sun shines again...
But between now and mid-April, keep an eye out for a few events that await you...

Like many cultural venues, we are concerned about visitor numbers to our historic site.
The 15-30 age group is under-represented among our visitors, and we would like to know what they expect from a visit to our estate.

 

Last Sunday we held the awards ceremony for the photo competition entitled ‘The 1001 facets of nature’.
We would like to thank all the photographers for their participation and for the quality of the photos they submitted.

A first step has been taken for the stained-glass windows of the Sainte Madeleine chapel: they have been carefully taken to restoration workshops to be renovated to their original condition. From surprises to discoveries, a whole range of techniques are revealed! Incredible, revolutionary, ingenious... the superlatives are endless.

Discover the origin of the wish tree, thanks to the Japanese legend of Orihime and Hikoboshi or that of Kalpataru, the sacred Indian tree.
We'll provide you with the materials you need to hang your own wish, thought, sweet note, memory or wish in the willow tree by the vegetable garden stream. Between roots and branches, ‘Between heaven and earth, the tree will carry your wishes’.
 

Discover the park and castle during the last weekend of May.

The big egg hunt is back on April 19 and 20. The opportunity to escape into the park in search of eggs of colors... and a single golden egg among them!

Temporary closure of the domain from March the 9th to the 16th included for holidays. We will be glad to answer all your requests from March the 17th. See you soon!

The museum’s collection is being redone, under the watchful eye of Sir Tupelo. Winter is the opportunity to clean up the stains and give back its shine to copper...

The domain is unreachable until 5.02 inclusive for annual holidays, we thank you to give preference to your requests from 6.02. Do not hesitate to discover our website in the meantime, and see you soon!

Endangered since 2020, the chapel classified as a Historical Monument is now under work for a long restoration.

The end of the season is coming. The castle is closed for the winter, and we will welcome you in April 2025.

On September 21st and 22nd, rediscover the estate and its history during the European Heritage Days, themed around the heritage of networks and connections. A tea room will be available, offering tarts, cakes, and soft drinks to conclude your visit.
